THE SMALL PRINT,
written large.
What you are agreeing to when you book us, and what we do with what you tell us. If any of it reads like a dodge, say so and we will rewrite it.
Who you are dealing with
Wag Watch is Greyson and Max, two teenagers who walk, feed and sit for pets in Johnson County, Indiana. There is no office and no dispatcher — whoever takes your booking is who arrives at your door.
Because we are under 18, a parent is aware of and supports the work we take on. If that matters to how you want to arrange care, say so and we will talk it through before the first visit.
A booking request is not a confirmation
Sending the form at book.wag.watch does not reserve a visit. It reaches us as a request. Your booking exists once Greyson or Max has replied with the service, the time, the price and who is coming, and you have agreed to those details.
We are taking visits in Morningside, Brentridge Estates, Saddle Club, The Madison at Greenwood and Kensington Grove only, while we finish putting insurance in place. If you are outside those neighbourhoods we will tell you honestly rather than stretch to reach you.
Every new client gets a free meet-and-greet before the first paid visit. If after meeting your pet we do not think we are the right fit, we will say so, and nobody is charged.
What we need from you
Accurate information about your pet: temperament, bite history, medication, allergies and anything they are funny about. We would rather over-ask than guess, and we cannot keep a pet safe around facts we were never told.
A way in that you are comfortable with — a key, a lockbox or a door code — plus your vet, an emergency contact, and where the food, leash and cleaning supplies live.
Your pet should be up to date on the vaccinations your vet recommends. We are not asking to see paperwork; we are asking you to be straight with us.
Prices, payment and cancellations
We quote a price before the visit, not after. Nothing is charged when you send a request, and we agree the payment method and timing with you before the first visit.
Holiday availability and pricing can differ. If a price changes for any reason, you hear the exact number before you commit to it.
Cancel as early as you can. We will tell you whether any cancellation charge applies before anything is charged — no fee is ever applied quietly.
How we look after your pet
We follow the routine you give us: meals as written, medication with written instructions, and the handling rules you set. We do not change a routine without asking you first.
In genuinely unsafe weather — ice, storms, heat that hurts paws — a walk may become a shorter walk plus indoor time. We tell you what we did instead rather than quietly shortening the visit.
If something goes wrong we contact you first, then the emergency contact or vet you listed. If we cannot reach you and your pet needs treatment we will act to get them care, and the veterinary costs are yours.
Insurance, and the limits of what we can promise
We are not yet insured or bonded. We are arranging general liability, animal bailee, veterinary reimbursement, broadened property damage and lost key cover — and that is exactly why we are keeping to a short list of neighbourhoods for now. This page will say so the moment it is in place, and not a day before.
We take real care in your home, but we cannot take responsibility for a condition your pet already had, an illness or injury already developing, the behaviour of a pet whose history we were not told, or damage a pet does to their own home between visits.
None of this is meant to remove a right you have under Indiana law. Where a term here conflicts with that law, the law wins and the rest of these terms still stand.
Photos and reviews
Every visit ends with a photo and a note sent to you. Those photos are yours. We do not publish a picture of your pet or your home here or anywhere else unless you have told us we may.
Leaving a review tells us we may publish what you wrote along with the name and neighbourhood you gave. Ask us and we will take it down, and you do not have to give a reason.
We do not write reviews for ourselves, pay for them, or publish one we were not actually given. If the reviews page is empty, it is because nobody has left one yet.
Changes, and getting hold of us
If we change these terms we change the date at the top of this page. A change never applies backwards to a booking we have already confirmed with you.
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Indiana.
Questions about anything here: info@wag.watch or (765) 290-6120. A real person answers, and it is one of the two of us.
What we collect
When you book: your name, phone, email, address, which pets you have and their routine, plus any care notes you write. We need all of it to turn up and look after your pet properly.
When you send a message or leave a review: your name, your email, and what you wrote. A review also carries the neighbourhood and rating you chose.
When you browse: a randomly generated visitor ID, the pages you opened, the links you clicked, the site that sent you here, and your browser, device type, screen size, language and time zone. None of it is tied to your name, and we do not buy data about you from anywhere else.
Why we have it, and who sees it
To arrange and carry out visits, to reply to you, and to see which parts of this site are worth keeping. That is the whole list.
Greyson and Max see it. Nobody else does. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it or hand it to advertisers, and there is no advertising or third-party tracking on this site.
It is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore), which is also where this site is hosted, so Google processes it for us as our hosting provider. Booking confirmation emails are sent through EmailJS.
How long we keep it
Booking and contact details: while you are a client and for a reasonable period after, in case you come back and want the same routine picked up again.
Published reviews: until you ask us to take yours down. Reviews we did not publish are deleted.
Site analytics: kept as counts. It was never attached to your name in the first place.
What you can ask us to do
Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you. Ask us to correct it and we will. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we genuinely need the record of a visit that already happened.
Email info@wag.watch or call (765) 290-6120. There is no form and no ticket number — you are talking to the people who hold the data.
Children
This site is meant for the adults who own the pets. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Being straight about security
Forms are sent over an encrypted connection into Firestore, under rules that let this site create a record but never read the list back. Key handover, alarm codes and gate codes are arranged in person or by phone — deliberately never typed into this website.
No website is perfectly secure and we are not going to claim otherwise. If something ever went wrong with data you gave us, we would tell you rather than hope you did not notice.
Wondering what this site stores in your browser? That is on the cookies page — there are four values and none of them is a cookie.
